record long nose emporer??

Is this the biggest Long Nose Emporer you have ever seen?
Caught it during my recent trip to Exmouth at the back of the Muiron Islands.
We measured it at just over 90cm and an estimated weight of 11kg.

after looking at the records
after looking at the records i found out the australian record is 9.6kg and the state record is 7.9kg. spewin!!

of brent davey holdng up a horse of a long nose, from (quite) a few years ago. it looked much bigger than your one, but yours is still a good specimen.
they do get noticeably bigger than standard spanglies though, but then again, i have seen and caught spanglies up to 86cm.

thats a huge long nose. would have gone hard for sure. goes to show thee are fish that are bigger than the current records.

yes marky it was a good
yes marky it was a good fight all the way to the boat. only fishing in about 14 metres.
pretty lucky to get it through all the sharks aswell
