Poll : Esky / Cooler Sizes
Submitted by Dizzy on Mon, 2012-02-27 09:42
Just looking through the range of sizes in Dave's Xtreme Coolers and trying to work out what's going to be the best size in terms of portability & realistic sizes without taking up excessive deck space.
I have a big under-floor area with an uninsulated rectangular tub in it at the moment, plus a run-of-the-mill multi-purpose eski on the deck, but want to get something dedicated for the boat.
Was wondering what you metro guys are using and find the best for size vs portability .............. vs reality.
I'm thinking the XT120 model at the moment (1360 x 400 x 430) - volume not huge, but optimistic enough for some big macks etc !
(PS : Dave, it says 100L - but doesn't the model number reflect the volume : i.e. XT120 is 120L ?)

doesnt matter what you go
doesnt matter what you go for, sometimes it will be way too big and others not big enough. that one your thinking of wouldnt be a bad one to get. nice feed of fish and the ice will fit nicely

Hi Dizzy
Yep, the product code represents the litre value of the cooler. So if it is the XT120l it is a 120litre cooler box. Is there a typo i need to take care of?
The XT120 is part of our standard range which is very popular with the fisherman as it is designed with a thicke recessed lid.
If it the Mackerel you are interested i would look at a XT100litre mack box. This box is much longer and still fits more than you think in it. This is the box that Sammy is referring to.
I also find the Mackerel box is easier to find a place for on the boat. I have some good stock of the XT120L in marble and the mack boxes are white or blue at the moment.
Very happy to show you the range to see what fits best. There is no one answer to your question, it is more about what you need it for and then going for the size and shape that suits.
Speak soon.

Unlucky
I am sure you can put some quality bulls in there Jamie. You are good at catching those when big Berties come around the FAD trolling some skirts which end up attached to your transom.
Good luck mate.
