Fish sunnies available at bcf or myer (I got the wobbygongs and they are great with the copper colour lens)

Or mangrove jacks are another good quality low budget option

I used the Caltex brand for

Mon, 2012-09-10 20:50

I used the Caltex brand for yrs.. they work great, but my new Maui Jims are in a different ball park, youve only got one set of eyes mate

PS I found a pair of sunnies in Bali that I loved.. honestly, most comfiest things Id ever worn.... bought about 10 pairs... went out wide for a day and came home with burnt eyelids!!!! they dont have the same specs as we do here... the other 9 pairs are just for decoration now...

Ugly fish do some nice sunnies too at a budget price, but really consider the long term benefits man, 200 bucks will get ya a pretty flash pair of sunnies, just gotta look after them cause most wont be scratch resistant, or bump it up another green boy and get a pair of scratch resistant spotters!!

I cant go past the Flying

I cant go past the Flying Fishermans. Used to be a site sponsor. I have probably 8 pairs between myself and the Mrs and love them. Great value for money.

Haber Vision. Thier Bellagio

Tue, 2012-09-11 07:49

Haber Vision. Thier Bellagio model costs just on $100 & are comparable to Spotters or any other pricey polaroids.

Vinesh87, I used to have a pair of the $30 Shimanos for driving etc. I wore them fishing a few times & they were ok but don't compare to slightly more expensive glasses like Uglyfish or even BlueSteel.

The difference between Xy and cheapies

Tue, 2012-09-11 08:03

is simply your eyes. Cheap ones offer very limited if any UV protection, and you risk a plate growing over your eyes (pterygium - http://www.google.com.au/search?tbm=isch&hl=en-AU&source=hp&q=pterygium&gbv=2&oq=ptery&gs_l=img.1.0.0l10.1000.3047.0.5578.5.4.0.1.1.0.297.889.2-3.3.0...0.0...1ac.1._NletY2b9oA) that has to be surgically removed, Oouch!!. Or you get a Pinguecula( http://www.google.com.au/search?q=pinguecula&tbm=isch&hl=en-AU&gbv=2&gs_l=img.1.0.0l10.1000.3047.0.5578.5.4.0.1.1.0.297.889.2-3.3.0...0.0...1ac.1._NletY2b9oA&oq=ping) that looks ugly.

If fishing in bright sunny condition you get direct sun and reflected. Look at the UV protection first, then Polarized to protect your eyes.

Sunnies

Ocean Eye wear does some good models that are fully polarised and sell for around $30. Other wise if you wanted something a little more up market the Ugly fish Polarised specs are good value and we have some that go for around the $79 mark.

 Mangrove Jacks are good,

Tue, 2012-09-11 19:49

Mangrove Jacks are good, from Brighteyes as someone else said.

Currently using a $20 pair from a stall i cant remember.  The stalls are in a lot of the shopping centres, and are like in the middle of the malls.  But theyre good because they have the spring loaded arms.

Anaconda has a good range for $25
