Poddy Mullet for Bait

I cruised into a local outdoor place today to fill the gas bottle and snuck in for a quick look at the tackle section (my wife would kill me). They had some 500kg bags of Poddy Mullet bait for sale and they looked just fantastic. Quite fat and plenty of blood. A bit the size of small Mullies.

Has anyone used these baits? On face value, they look great.

MY modus is land based and I generally use Mullies or the like. This is the first time I have come across Poddy Mullet.

we use them in gero they are really good bait dhuys love them and they wont come off the hook as fast as mulies. they are also good cause pickers tend to stay away from them.

Hmmmm. OK. Good job I wasn't costing a job today as my weights are all in a pickle.LOL.

I will give them a try for a while over the next few weeks and see what happens. They certainly look less "fluffy" than Mullies and a potential for a set rod.
