i have one... penn 260
i have one... penn 260 slammer retails for around $140, so in a combo, it is probably a good buy. depends on the rod they are pairing it with. ideal for KG whiting and light gear fishing.

where you buying the combo?
surely they would be able to recommend you something and spool it up for you?
Personally (if the store has it) I'd go Sunline PE or Daiwa TD Sensor - both are very nice braids for casting and not too harsh on the hip pocket.
