Occy Pots - Gone!

Brand new string of pots put out two weeks ago just of Parmelia Bank, Brand new float marked with my I'd. No pros in the area, today I find pros string and mine are gone...Fkin Raging!!..Will dive the mark next week in case the float has been chopped...wishing the pro all the best, hope his string stays in one piece...

Yer my mates son had some in safety bay and they disappeared. He was doing a dive by garden island and found them over there so he brought them back to the bay side. As it has been said --- nothing is sacred. Hell, there not hard to make.

Of time . People see floats pull them . Last pro I know caught someone pulling his. He asked him to stop . Reply won’t be mentioned from poacher. He tried then took video of boat . And sent in . Still one month early for occy. There still small. Occy now days highly prized catch.unfortunately you won’t stop them . Scum is scum

Why not put a string out
Why not put a string out with no float? Just use a grapple to pick up the rope.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

Same up our way Brock-O I put 2 strings out and a week and a half later go for a check and gone. Was FCKN ropeable, I have my suspicion of who it it just need to catch the sh*t C7nt in the act.

To have no floats on occy line . Grapple youse to be go . Not now. Hence why I dive for them. Abandon gear it is classed as. Pick a spot away from everyone ( sand weed ect) place them 10 to 15 feet apart . Swim swim swim only way. Heaps harder for people to steal them . 3 or 4 here or there . Only thing is elements of ocean will swallow them if you don’t regularly check them . Heavier the better.

Sad to see how common it is,
Sad to see how common it is, I can't understand how someone could happily sit down and enjoy "your seafood. Had a cray pot go missing today and 2 with the sides smashed to pieces. People winching them up. Heartbreaking when u take the kids out to pull the pots and there gone or ripped apart.

Doesn't smash the sides off pots....been doing it for years and mine are fine. More likely to be moving around with the swell
