Northcliffe skippy?

I'm heading down to Northcliffe for the Easter long weekend. I'm hoping for some Skippy action. Any good spots accessable without 4x4?

Windy Harbour
Should be able to get a few round Windy Harbour and a chance of a salmon or two.
Possibly a skippy or two as you drive down from Northcliffe to the coast

plus one to Windy Harbour
30 km south of Northcliffe and Salmon Bay to the West just as you hit settlement.
Salmon in play at the moment, sharks at night and rays and perhaps a mulloway.
Tarwhine at sunset and reasonable herring and whiting. It is a rough surf break so longer rod better and wind usually a factor.
If you head into the settlement and then head to the cliffs you can follow to the surf break at the cliffs and can follow the trail to rocks that face east and are protected from the wind. It is a mildly difficult climb so need a hand free and shoulder bag.
Can catch herring, skippy and salmon (not that you will land the salmon though lol) from the rocks, the more burley the better.
There is a rock just by beach entrance by the caretakers called whiting rock with you can catch whiting from easily, but usually pretty small. sometimes flathead etc too.

try down the summertime track
I had a ball down there 2 years ago... a nice gentle 4x4 track to get to the beach and the salmon were going nuts! there was a fantastic gutter all the way up the beach... that was on the easter weekend then and I plan to go again but may leave it for another 3 weeks.... but thats where I would be heading....
have fun...
