no an expert but quinns beach
no an expert but quinns beach is ok at the moment albeit windy and weedy at times. give ocean reef marina outside wall and mindarie marina south wall (fishing platform) ago - seen a few people catch from both walls.... yanchep beach is a goer if you feel like a drive and anywhere between quinns and yanchep is always consistant if you have access to a four wheel drive. mostly just trial and error cobber unless someone is willing to give up their glory hole. remember you dont always need a beach rod and mullies either some of the best chewing is caught with a little spin rod and either plastics or small weights/bait - can catch a nice flat head with a little walking up and back on most metro beaches not to mention in the river (ocean side of pt walter off any of dozens of sandy bits of the river bank).

thanks mate
sorry for late reply,i will certainly give it a go,when you say "a little spin rod and either plastics or small weights/bait - can catch a nice flat head with a little walking up and back on most metro beaches" is my 6' spin setup that i use on the river for flathead and bream suitable for this? or is a larger say 9' spin a better option to allow a heavier weight to deal with waves and current,i have read some treads about people using 9' rod for plastics from beach and it can also then be used for tailor and salmon on lures and slices, would this be a betteroption?
