Alot of people will say let the fish take it and run then strike after about 20 sec.

I personally and other people who have caught big mulla swear to strike strait away  but make sure your drag is tight enough to let the fish swim off otherwise you will snap off

i would say it would be a ray as with most rays they will do a very long and quick run at the start of the fight and mulloway will tend to play with it a bit a couple of clicks of the drag then a few short bursts. With the hook setting when using fresh yellowtail you should put the hook straight down the side so only the shank of the hook is in the fish and the barb is well clear

Work is just for people who havn't discovered fishing
