Was me b'day last weekend, so my kids just topped me up with some more Eagles paraphenalia, to go with my two framed Eagles prints they spoilt me with last weekdend. And like you dogsoldier, i got the obligatory hand made cards(the best IMO), and drink coasters etc(made at school). Heading up to The Maze to spend the day with 'em in about 10 mins...

As if the image wasn't bad enough

Sun, 2007-09-02 13:17

Not only did he send me the image of the dinner but he rang me this morning to describe just how good it tasted! What he forgets is that age and experience will always win out against youthful exuberance. My day is coming.

Sun, 2007-09-02 13:45

My youngen (care of mum because he is only 7 months) got me a 65gm raider and one of those filleting boards with the clamp on the end. Looking forward to putting them both to use soon.

Three days without it and I get a little jumpy

I got spoilt as usual

Sun, 2007-09-02 15:48

My two girls and their lovely mum got me a Sunbeam Food Saver Vac550 which is an awesome vacuum sealer to keep my catch in tip top condition. Greg next door had one similar and we did up some snapper in it and it comes out perfectly flat fillets with no freezer burn etc. Adds an extra few months to the freezer life.

I now have to go and get some fish to try it out.

Cheers

I got a bottle of Crazy Bird and a Collingwood beach towel also a Collingwood Beer Glass , I got a wide screen LCD for my birthday so I didn't expect much more three weeks later for Fathers day .

Also we all lit a candle for my father that passed away 3 years ago .

I really miss the miserable old bugger .

No cemetary for me

Tue, 2007-09-04 16:09

The old bugger got half his ashes spread on his favorite whiting spot in South Aust  and the other half at Steep point , his 2 favorite spots in the world .

I wouldn't mind having mine blow all around Steep point also ( only prob with that would be my wifes sence of humour , she would put me in the composting toilet there ).

Nope no cemetary either

Fri, 2007-09-07 09:00

Only a week late but I'm just heading down to The Frankland River to pay my respects to my Father this weekend. His ashes have spend a few years in the company of the bream he taught me and Adam to fish for.  Bet he's not swearing at them quite so much as when they used to break off his line around the snags.
