mackies in Kalbarri

Hi all had a ball up in kalbarri hired the 7.85m from murchison boat hire for 6 days and bagged out on mackies every day awsom triple hook ups even 4 rods at one time and landed all heaps of small long tail tuna around was non stop

Did you guys get the hook out yourselves? From the photo looks like the point went out the other side.
Stuck myself once when I was a kid and it took hours to get help, so anything bigger than a bream lure gets debarbed.
Sticking yourself is a real trip spoiler!!!

Yeah a amberjack jumped around on the floor and a mate went to grab the lure with no plyers worst thing was tryin to stop the fish from wrigglin cos he was still attached we wernt far out so we brought him in the vrm kalbarri was straight onto it called the hospital and was gunna pick him up from the warf was really impressed by them she must of had the bonoculars on us comin in the mouth and radioed us straight away cheers to them

nice trip by the sounds of it. gotta be some ouch factor in the hook . the only way i could see it being removed would be push it through , squash the barb and pull it back or cut the bugger off , the hook that is , not the finger.did you keep the ambo?
