Looking for a rope splicer NOR

Getting boat ready for summer, Old splice is stalling in the gypsy almost everytime.

Is there anyone on here who can do a neat splice or recommend somewhere that does

Try You Tube

YouTube has lots of instruction vids on how to splice, doing a long splice to join two ropes is about the easiest of all just unravel both ends you want spliced and poke them together so the 3 strands fit inbetween the 3 on the other piece of rope, tape one set of tailes down to the opposite rope. Then with the other 3 tag ends  go over one strand then under one, do this evenly, one at a time, pulling it tight as you go, keep going till you have about 8 or more tucks  then put it on the ground and roll it with your foot to bed the tucks in then cut off the tag ends

 Its 8 strand plait.

Kinda woven I guess, definately not just twisted like the common cheap nylon rope.

I reckon its about 12mm.

Would be great to find someone local who wants some beers.

Is the rope catching on itself and hence stalling the gypsy? Samson ropes & New England ropes and some others have some splicing instructions. Post a photo of the rope if you can. Might be able to give guidance

Would be happy to splice it for you but I'm working out of Darwin for another few weeks and then 2 weeks isolating/quarantining at home.
