...the 50ish cm ones, have no problem scoffing down a whole mulie on a driftbaited double-snelled set of 2/0's. Problem there, of course, is if a big pinkie or dhuie goes it, hook strength becomes a real issue.

Lots of 30-40cm kg's in the Dawesville Cut at the moment, and should remain there for the majority of winter. For them, the aforementioned fresh squid tentacles, worms, and peeled prawns are the go! Just make sure you have enough weight to hold bottom when the tide starts ripping through.

Yeh there are a few big ones if you can get out , ha beautiful weather , my personal best King George is dead on 1Metre long , but that was out deep.

yeh it put up a pretty decent fight aye , when i flipped her on the deck every one freaked at first didnt know what it was ha , i could just fit both hands around the body/ head of the king george .

Yeh im curious to know what the state record is , i was stunned myself to see a king george that big .  i think they are a great tasting fish yumm
