Breno There are plenty of good spots close to town
Wittecara Creek, about 5 minutes south from the edge of town has been firing up recently with some good tailor catches.
The river is also worth a fish in the evenings. The river mouth at Chinamans is a good spot for tailor, mulloway and tarwhine.
Further upstream near the boat jettys can be very good for bream, smaller mulloway, flathead anjd estaury cod.

Hi YUa, If you can follow
Hi YUa,
If you can follow the sand track up river. Plenty of good spots up there for black bream. Can travel as far as 10 or 12 kms but you definately need 4x4.
And you certainly can do worse than drop into the tackle shop in town to talk to the guys there.
Cheers.

North of the river
The boat hire place on the river will take you across for a small fee, so you can fish north of the river mouth as well.
