Jigging

I thought we jigged to avoid fish like this.
Don't know if this is a bad sign or if it's telling me that I can catch anything on a jig this year!

It's not the fishes fault!
It was using your jacket as camoflauge!

Take it as the second one Alfred, I caught a fair few species last year on jigs and mr auricularis was one of them (but mostly pretty decent).
Wrasse are pretty aggressive. I've caught a few wrasse species on jigs (mostly westerns). Not my favourite wrasse species though (baldy ;) ). Lots of sargeant bakers (which really like the jigs you're on). Fairly ground specific I think, I havent caught many wrasse in the 40's. On the plus side, jigging up bakers and wrasse are still good cause they make good bait.
