HDI-7 colour palette--pics added

This is my HDI -7 with the background set to Blue Fishreveal. Different to just the blue background available in the selection. Gives a rather Furuno-like picture, sample shown is with 58% of colour intensity selected. Not a good picture to show the tails, as it is zoomed x4 and auto-depth, but they are quite good. They show well on x2 zoom. Fish shown produced several jew. The little zig zag up the top is probably my jig.  Transducer is a 50/200 HST-DFSBL.

Probaly, didn't get to see it

There have been bronzies, spinners and big thickskins around up there lately, I've  hooked all three on heavy gear and had my arms stretched. F**s. Endangered my arse. Anyway, the one I got whole spewed up scalies, there was a big school in the area.

The Blue  Fishreveal is a whole different look, different to the blue background  option, best picture I've had out of it. Went out to 22 fathoms, still showing a good pic. That transducer is meant to be chirp, according to the Lowrance website, but selecting it from the setup menu removes the downscan option.

I have the same sounder with the 83/200 transducer, can you explain how to get a full screen shot at 4x, i can only get a split screen showing 4x.

Also how d you show the time on screen & temp on screen ?

it should be available then as a single screen--if you don't have the Split Zoom box ticked in the sounder menu? The data shown is under the Overlay Data section of the menu, different options available for the amount you want to display.

Edit pics added --shows menu options to get single zoom screen and Overlay Data-go into Configure and you can choose what you want there, and how big.

Cheers for showing those who asked , just a heads up if your turning the unit on , on dry land unplug the transducer I think they don't recommend having them on dry or its the rebound waves off the concrete or something not good for them

Running a xducer dry can cause overheating.

This is the only real issue, i don't do it any more than necessary. Running some electronics transmitters without their load attached can be worse, you will fry them. Not saying this is the case with echo sounders, just a heads up.
