Are you allowed to fish from a boat at the dams around this area for the trout or is is shore based only?

How deep is the dam any idea? Is it a gentle sloping drop or does it just drop off to some massive depth?

It has very deep sections. to the right of the boat ramp is a pretty deep channel, I dunno how deep exactly. Around the far end of the dam its shallower. Wherever u cast is generally 1m+ except in some little corners (eg where all the dead trees are)
