Furuno or Lowrance, What to buy

HI

I am in dire need of a 1kw sounder for fishing deep the furuno 585 or lowrance LCX 27 that is where i am at, both have a bit of sex apeal.

a 585 furuno is the first option although for similar dollars the LCX 27 or 37 comes with a plotter and my nave man ploter does not hace the same coverage using C map as the navionics card.

what should i do?

I want to try out deep so need the power.

Have used the 37c with the broadband a few times and rate it highly , once you get used the fish arc's displayed with the broadband its a very clean image . With the furuno is gives more of an indication of a color blob  towards fish , the lowrance is easier to use with its drop down menu's but personally overall you can get a lot fier detail with the 585 possibly to much

My brother mentioned being on someone's boat that had lowrance gear, but it was hooked up to a regular boat-mounted LCD monitor? That sounds like a great way to get a big screen?

and run them side by side.

that way you get 2 kick ass sounders and you dont have to choose.

Thats why

we are all waiting on Tim to tell us which one is better.
I personally like the idea of being able to capture the image on an SDS card and show everyone what is down there. rather than just taking a pic of a sounder screen.
