Freezing crabs

G'day, can I freeze cooked crabs? We usually eat them all straight up or give some away but we've got about 6 left over. Can I freeze them ok?
Cheers
Dale

Sure
Sure can mate! If you have a cryvac machine, seal them up in there. One of our members Roberta posted up some pics a while back. I will see if i can find it

Just ate the cooked ones I defrosted last night. The meat was slightly dry, and lost a fair bit of the taste. Fresh crusty bread and salt, pepper with a dash of vinegar and it was better than nothing, but I dont think I would do it again.

Meat only
Friend of mine has the patience and will power to remove the cooked meat and cryovac it. Says the shell pierces the bag and alows the meat to dry out otherwise.
Makes a pretty tasty crab quiche
