there is a new charter boat opperating out of quindalup this year, the bloke who runs it has been a profetional fisherman for the last 10 to 15 years. the company is called legend charters busselton, they might be worth a look.
the new charter in town is run by Dean jensen .. he is a pro in town here and is starting to run a whale watching charter and deep sea fishing as a side job ..
i havent seen his prices on the charter and to tell the truth we dont like each other very much :) .. but he is a very good skipper and id trust him to get you on the fish on any given day.
If you catch 6 kilo of dhuie fillets it has paid for itself and looking at his photos, they get PLENTY of fillets of Dhuie...
Just depends how you look at things. I know people that would spend 300 on fuel and servicing on their boat and not catch the fish you may get in one day on a decent charter...
but this is a forum, its the experience pple pay for when not having a boat , or the boat to go deep on, however 300 on fuel and servicing is spread out over the yr mate,
either way, great for non boater anglers to go deep, i charge around $50 for a dhuie/closer in hunt but nothing is guaranteed, you just never know,
$100 for the shelf, which is more worth it, longer trip more fuel and more fillets, ( but not all the time,) you pay for the experience, not the fillets,, the fillets are a bonus but obviously on a charter one would somewhat expect, i dont think thats the case down south or even in perth nowadays,
we all love our fishing and some of us dont have the contacts so the charters are a good call, i,ve been on a cple myself up north and they were awesome, worth the bux and the experience,
nowadays its getting tougher as you must trust the person you have aboard, some pple come out as im sure they do on charters and ping!! pretty easy nowadays unfortunately, off the topic anyway, lol
personally i hope charter operators read out the rule of ethics to all punters, because its a tough business, and pple are getting smarter, its not cheap to run a fishing business,
Dean was a top pro wetliner and has all the good spots from Naturaliste reef south to Augusta and inside Geographe bay. There would only be three other fishermen who have all the spots he has and more working down there.
You could just about guarantee that is someone is found to have a handheld Gps on them that it will go for a swim and probably them with it. A lot of those spots are worth many dollars to another pro let alone an amateur.
well guys all I can say is I am personally glad to be able to fish again, it is bloody sad we cannot but the pros can but a wasted arguement so not worth it, I will be getting out soon, just got back from U2 in sydney , and its bloody windy down here so havent heard any reports yet, brendan gimme a ring mate,
there are a couple of new operators down here, a pro from gracie is on it now doing whales etc and fishing, he would be the guy especially going from gracetown, but these guys will go from quindalup as its easier to pull the tourists and not that much of a drive, brendan and I do it all the time, cape crusader has been going for yrs, from port geo I think,

Try this guy. Should be doing
Try this guy. Should be doing fishing charters at x-mas time. Heard he did really well last year on the fishing side of things. www.geographebay.com/accom_result1/naturaliste-charters-whale-watching-cruises/
If not there is another boat that runs out of Port Geo Busso but can't remember his name.

Just came across that
first impression is that the price will keep a few away. A little out of reach of the average fisho.

You're not wrong Matty, it's a bit steep.
Flag the cooked brekky, lunch and fancy bollocks, and knock $100 off the price and you become reasonable.
He guarantee's you come home with a feed of fish, must have some frozen fillets just in case.
Love to hear from anyone who does a trip with these guys, as it's always interesting to find out whose catching in your own back yard

He's gotta be
real careful. Guaranteeing a feed of fish could be a bad move.
Well good luck to him, if he can people to pay that price. Were abit short on charters down here
so it'll be interesting to see how he goes.

Heard there might be another charter boat operating out of Grace Town over the school holidays.
The South West is under so much pressure it won't be too long before it becomes a shit fishery.
More and more people are coming down in the school holidays.
I've heard the pros have absolutely smashed it the last 2 months.
Soon we may be going to Perth to catch a dhuy.

Thought that
would happen. Get them out of metro waters and where do they go next? Big surprise.
The bay's already raped and pillaged so i guess the west coast will be cleaned out now?
Saequest, i think you'll find that Legend charters will operate out of Quindalup pro ramp
and Gracetown boat ramp.

G’day gang. Well I finally
G’day gang.
Well I finally got a chance to go on a charter down south. I went out on Cape Cruisader Fishing Charters out of Busselton.
Great crew and service, they really worked hard to make sure we all got onto some fish on what was a quiet overcast day.
$250 for a day of fishing with a light lunch.
I took my own gear and caught a 30kg+ sambo, black arse, swallow tail and sweep.
