Fishing advice for Wilson Inlet and coastal locations around Denmark
We (three of us) are going to Denmark for a fortnight from 13 March 2010 for a fortnight. The house we are renting is within 1km of the Poddyshot ramp. We will be taking my 5.0metre plate ally Centre console. This trip is a holiday with some serious fishing. We want to catch some fish but do not want to fill the freezer.We will also be bringing gear suited to fishing from the beach.
None of us has done any fishing at all in that area. Wilson Inlet is reputed to have Sand Whiting, King George Whiting, Silver Trevally, Small snapper, Tarwhine, Herring etc.
I have heard that a paternoster rig with a Berley sinker will be effective. Around Perth I regularly fish for herring and breed my own maggots. would maggots be a successful bait there?
What would be the best baits to use?
Roughly what depth of water In Wilson Inlet would be best to fish?
Roughly where in the Inlet would be the best place to fish?
Is there any possibility that there will be Salmon around?
What other beach locations near Denmark would be relatively easy to fish? (My sister cannot cast to save her life,)
Any advice will be appreciated.

Green pools is a nice spot...easy to fish there as well mate.

i can confirm the KG whiting
i can confirm the KG whiting in there but that was a few years ago and we didn't have a sounder. Beach fishing spots that can be clam are mad fish bay, around greens pool and parry's beach from memory, i also fished a nice beach with a barra combo between albany and denmark that held some nice KG's in close but can't for the life of me remember it's name but it had a rocky headland to the left, and a creek coming into the ocean on the right with a big deep gutter along it's length with a deep channel with weed areas near the rocks, the guys on the rocks where pissed i got 6 in 45 mins and they had nothing!

Denmark recent reports?
thought I'd dig up an old thread rather than start another Denmark thread (and prove that I used the search function
). Heading to Denmark for the weekend and wondering if anyone has some recent reports from down there. I will be LB only and looks like the weather might be a bit ugly.....
Salmon around yet, or just the odd resident?

anything else? or any specific place firing?

Boating wilson inlet
Hi guys same story .is it safe to put a 5m fibreglass boat in the inlet ,any underwater hazards etc ,Hows the fishing being lately
