fish id please

My nephew caught this today out off ocean reef in 30m, looks pretty cool, we released it with no worries. Wouldn't have a clue what it is? Anyone know?

Yeah you're right sea-kem, i had a look at gunnards in the fishwreckapedia, turns out it's a butterfly gunnard.

 its a flying gurnard theyre a pretty common by-catch. theyre also pretty ordinary to eat
