First trip to Greenhead by tinny .... Any tips for a novice angler

Hi everyone
I have just joined up to the forum and recently bought my first tub a 4.1 allyraft with 30hp yamaha. I have taken it out from woodys point about 7 or so trips so far for not that much success. One dui fair few skippy whiting and flathead but no elusive snapper yet. I have been fishing stragglers and once at five fathom.
I am goint to Greenhead for work for a couple of weeks and i would much appreciate any advice on fishing the area. Also does anyone know where to get laminated charts in perth. eg.. cockburn sound.
cheers bakes

Greenhead
Don't have a tinny myself so have only fished LB around there. Can tell you though that there is a boat ramp for you to launch from and also plenty of beach with easy access on the southside of town.
Might be worth contacting Craig White at Seasport Tackle (Jurien) - he may have some local knowledge or charts for sale.
From speaking to people up that way in the past you can have some really good luck in close (2-4k) for nice dhuies and snapper. That might depend on where the crays are though - I'm not sure if they are in close at this time of year?
Some big winds up there at the moment and I noticed while there last week the weather can change really quickly...in saying that it's usually pretty good there.
