Fads

Hi guys.
just wondering if anyone has any input on how the fads are going currently. I'm considering heading to either the ones behind rotto, or off ocean reef, but the ones of ocean reef haven't been in very long. Anyone have any reports on which are holding fish? Or too early still?
any advice greatly appreciated!

We were out at 2 of the fads off Jurien 24 Dec and they were loaded. We were the only ones out there. Worth the travel from Perth. Reasonable size. Saw schools of Mahi from about 4-5 mile offshore but wouldn't take a stick bait.
current was ripping from the North, so you'd think there would be numbers heading south.
Water temp out there 24.2C
we caught them in the straight hook. Did get 1 on a floated bait. Also a yellowtail kingfish on a floated bait.

Headed out yesterday and can report fads behind rotto were very quiet. Tried 5.Was rougher than expected, wind didn't drop as much as it should. Few schools of southern bluefin chasing bait. Caught and released a couple. Reckon I will give it a few weeks before making the trek again.
dead keen to try the Jurien fads!
