going to be p there around the same time bro :). the tadabidi side is the best, we were up there about 3 months ago and we launched from the bundegi ramp (12ft dingy) and just went out about 600m from shore to the back of the reef and had heaps of fun on coral trout/mackrel,empera,queenies,trevs. so much fun :)

both sides are ok to launch
both sides are ok to launch from (bundegi is probaly the only ramp you wouldnt launch from in a strong Easterly wind).
Tantabiddi should have the new ramp and break wall complete, which should mean you can launch in any conditions i believe.

One thing to watch
is if you are launching on the Bundegi side and heading around to the west side past NW reef be wary of the Northerly's , they can get nasty through this section of water and with the big tidal flow through here
the whole area can turn into a big washing machine , actually that can happen to a certain degree in westerly's right round to easterly's , has caught a lot of people out even some bigger vessels .
Not trying to be a scaremonger just giving a heads up of what it can do .
Just one more cast , honest !!!

Tides
Keep an eye on the tides too, if the tide is under .02 of a meter you may not be able to get over the bar that forms at the back of bundegi ramp (means a drop off and someone drives to the marina) The only date it looks to maybe be a problem is the 9th of April at .035 at 7pm, so all should be ok.
Yep, should be plenty of fishwrecked crew up here, keep an eye open for the stickers and shirts!
