Exmouth Pier cam fish ID please

Hi guys can anyone tell me what the big orange goldfish looking fish are that are often on the exmouth pier cam. I had thought they might be orange ruffy but just did a google serch and they look different and russ said they are only a deep water fish ... So help please need to prove him wrong LOL

Definitely not orange ruffy,they are Oogly with a capital O.

Have seen the ones you're talking about but haven't been able to identify them.

Red squirrelfish or crimson soldierfish, one of those two most likely.

we were wondering what they were also, as they look lovely, must go back on, saw 4 divers the other day, and sharks, so soothing watching the fish.  Old fart hasn't got a book on the fish north of Carnarvan, might just be a good pressie for Xmas.
