D SHED - Not much happening monday / tuesday

Wed, 2010-07-14 17:46

Hi spooled79 - got a report from the old man as he is down around D shed pretty much every day. Monday / Tuesday conditions were poor - a lot of water moving through and plenty of weed. A few die hards were having a crack but nothing being pulled out of the water.

I will be down that way tomorrow for a couple of hours in the hope that a day or two of better weather has settled things down. I'm chasing gardies but expect the herring will be about after this weather.

Simmo Ryan will be with me and he is going through an SP phase at the moment so he will be happy to hear that. Personally, I prefer smelly fingers. Tongue out

DieHard - besides the distinctive yellowtail, they have the ridges following the spine close to the tail - much like on a skippy...you can never really get them confused with anything.

We got ours by taking a walk

We got ours by taking a walk up to A shed, right at the museum point and working them along where the shadow line is, about a meter below the surface. After the first 10 we switched to bait.. Left them biting at about 9pm and went home with a bag of fresh bait :)

I'll give it a crack and see whats happening tomorrow! If it's not firing there are plenty of options which is always a good thing.

Just out of curiosity which SP were you using?
