does anyone follow the almanac

I was just wondering if anyone takes any interest in following the almanac.ive been using it for nearly 2 years now and have found it really helpfull in some circumstances such as trout fishing.i found on the black days(best)there will be fish rising everywhere and alot of activity and on the white day(poor)you would be lucky to get a redfin.i take note of what fish i catch and what time and by doing this i have found 1 day of the month(got 2 do with moon phases)that the black bream really go on the bite. its a well kept secret of mine:):)i dont let this tiny yellow book tell me when or not to go fishing but i just like to see if it really has an impact on fishes feeding.whats your thoughts about it??

I am not sure if the beach fishing has been significantly better on the black days, but I have found that the predicted days for poor fishing have been very accurate.

I follow the moon

The moon is the most important factor I find, with the full and the new moon always creating bigger tide movement. If you go through your almanac all the "black" days are always around these moons thus eliminating the need for a little yellow book.

Granted, you can get lucky on other moon phases, but fishing offshore in Perth you need as much working in your favour as possible.

I use it all the time - not

I use it all the time - not so much for the black/white days as Steve points out once you understand the phase it is the same for every lunar cycle.

I keep a close eye on the moon up / down times and also have a couple of secrets about when to fish for certain species. Say no more.
