Cyclone Pancho movements
Submitted by Colin Hay on Wed, 2008-03-26 10:20
This is the latest information courtesy of BOM.
Pancho is expected to intensify in the next 30 hours and begin to weaken at about 60 hours as the system begins to move over cooler SSTs and then encounters increasing NW shear south of 20S.
There are some suggestions it may track down towards Perth.

That's interesting
As it appears to be a long way off the coast at the moment.
Be good for your garden Adam. You might have to plant some vegies.

Hahha
My grass is already 3 foot high after the first cyclones, it was just starting to die off but will be nice and green again in a couple of days.
My flight out looks like it has been cancelled for tomorrow. :(

oh hell yeah
We were camping over at Pilgramunna. Had been there for 6 days of awesome weather. Tuesday bought an absolute pearler of a day but you could see it building up. Tuesday lunch time saw a huge downpour. As we were leaving on Wednesday anyway we decided to pack up and head for Exxy for a nice shower and feed at the Pot Shot. Woke that night to some fairly persistent and sometimes heavy rain. Woke in the morning to the same. Quick bite to eat, load the carand the kids and off to the servo. Pump the tyres. fill the car and we were off by 8.25. Friends of ours dragging the boat left 15min before us. Well what a drive out! Water everywhere. First couple of floodways were interesting but manageable. Then around the industrial area the first major one was just around the top of the guards on the cruiser. MMMMMMM. Got to the next and it was just too much so we decided to head back. we were back at the last one within 5 mins only to see another cruiser coming accross. Halfway it shit itself. Water was just below window height. A couple of guys in the car got out. One thru the window and the other donkey openss the door. What the!!! They pushed the car out far enough for us to get thru. So low range, second gear and off we charge, wife screaming, kids screaming and me snapping off washers at a huge rate. We plunge into the water, then the water starts coming over the bonnet, water was pissing into the car, water is now over my mirrors and I'm thinking holy f@#k. Just kept the boot into it and finally made the other side absolutel elated. Opened the door to let the water out to raptous applause. Very scary indeed. Within the space of 20-25min that water rose a good 1.5m. Our friends got through there not a problem in a standard Pajero dragging a 15ft runabout with water barely wheel height. So back to Exxy to get our room back and finally left yesterday morning. Cant wait until next time though.
Cheers Mick
Why are they called haemaroids and not asteroids?
If the lord did not mean for us to eat fish and game, he wouldn't have made them outta meat
