G'day All,
Just wondering if there is any do / don'ts of Catching some blue swimmer Crabs in the Swan River, with regards to fisheries giving you a fine.
I understand the size, more so is it illegal to use certain baits in your net??? and the boat limit is 20 yes?
What is the best bait, been using Chicken necks latly...Just thought I would ask the question so I dont get ANOTHER nasty fine from Fisheries.....

Crabbing Info -
Boat Limit 20 yes but you need two RFBL licences on board.
Max 10 nets.
Best bait for us is Tuna Heads with using bait pins and if your using a bait wallet then mullet & spleen

i saw a small dinghy the
i saw a small dinghy the other night in the river, they were catching more than the 10 that a single rbfl license would allow
and i'm assuming the guy even had a rbfl....
he was snorkelling from the dinghy in the nedlands area
does fisheries ever check dinghies in the river to check they have rbfl's ?

got checked by fisheries a few weeks back at Pt walter, looked at the catch and checked for licence, dont know if they are out at night though

Got done drifting into the marine park on the west end of Rotto, we had JUST drifted in and fisheries were right onto us...It was my first time with the new Boat @ Rotto, 25minute interview and $400 later....LESSON LEARNT...mind you after that we got bagged out on Dhu and Snapper so it wasn't a complete clusterf#%k of a day :)
Just never want it to happen again, thanks for all your help guys, hit up the swan yesterday and got some rippers! will post photos when I get home from work.
