Nice haul mate!

Whats the Coral Bay ramp like for launching/retreiving big heavy boats on low tide? Does the conc go back a fair way or can you drop the trailer off the end of the ramp if you go back to far?

Planning my first trip up there with the boat next year.

good ramp, long walk to carpark. idiots sometimes park in reversing lanes.

no worries launching retrieving on low, only issue is they arent floating jettys so its a big step to get down to boat or big climb out.

grab a couple of those rubber fenders to protect boat and watch out for the rusty ladders and bolts

and one other thing watch out when the charter boats dock and launch they can churn up the water around the jettys pretty bad, we were retrieving in the lane next to them one day just had to push the boat of the jetty and wait for calm water

Also the ramp is very steep so that helps with getting trailer in water

won't be an issue launching mate. If you can get it on a trailer then I can't see you having any issues launching or retrieving there.

there's a photo of part of the setup in the recent coral bay 2016 post.

Cheers mate, shes on bunks and needs to be pretty much floating to come off which is no dramas as long as you can go back far enough...

Thanks for the nice comments lads as all the boys have said very easy ramp now. Bit of blood was from the tuna bleed !!
Boat got very messy between spots. for those heading up that way we didn't get a shark till very late on day 3 of 6.
Turned of live well, deck wash, no old bait thrown back, no dead fish put back. Idle back up drift lines etc etc etc. All common sense stuff but I think helped keep the tax man down . Thankyou to Mic from shorecatch his fresh squid was good. (tried to use mostly squid and jigs no mulies or fresh bleeding fish which may of helped with the sharks.
Our 1st 3 days in coral bay was glass (last week in June)
fished 350m using 32oz sinkers had to bring in sea anchor as no drift !!!!!
Didn't see big Merv at the ramp one of the locals though someone knocked him off !! I really hope that was just a bad rumor has anyone seen him up there lately ???
