Mate, have been fishing the sound of a night time for a couple of years now and never had a problem, touch wood.
Same with anything dont leave anything visable that would give someone the idea of taking and put good lock on your trailer.

you are much better of leaving your windows down and say a 5 dollar note hanging out of the ashtray that way they will take the five and not smash any windows to have a look inside. Think of it as a parking fee
Work is just for people who havn't discovered fishing

i think in this day and age, it doesnt matter where you park your car.. the same principles apply:
If you park your car in a place full of other cars and under light, where there is people around, the chances of your car being broken into or getting damaged are "slimmer" than if you park your car alone, in a car park with no lights and no people around...
at the end of the day, there is always going to be a higher risk associated with parking a car in a place and a time when vandals can access it easier. But this can happen anywhere, anytime, regardless of past track history too...
So just because it hasnt happened before in a particular spot, doesnt mean it cant happen.
But you need to weigh up that risk. All it takes is one drunken pissed off idiot and percieved chances of carpark security go down dramatically and as you know, on friday and saturday nights in this country, pissed off drunken idiots happen ALL THE TIME :P
