Calling all Docker knockers!

I want to see who is willing  to commit to this now...

If the Dockers beat North Melbourne at Etihad on Sunday, who out there in "docker knocker land" will acknowledge some respect for the Dockers and say this year we are the real deal, a competitive team and a chance of getting past week one of the finals.  North are one of the form sides right at this minute, and any team who can beat them can consider themselves a very capable unit.

For my end, if we lose, I'll say we're not good enough and shouldn't play finals this year and we should start planning for next year.  If we can't beat a top eight team in Melbourne then we won't get far into September.

It's elimination final time for us from here on in!

There Season

Thu, 2012-08-23 08:20

Season has been a lot more consistent than in the past, my TV has lasted this year with out fear of damage. There not losing by large margins as they have in the past or throwing games away after leading by large margins.

I'm with Randall; they will win through the rest of the season and be there to have a crack at the end of the season!

As for the wet toasters!! Id be worried! After being on top of the ladder and in the top 4 for most of the year!! to be in a position were they could be possibly knock out of the top 4 (some one correct me if im wrong there) would be a disappointment, It was good to hear Denial Kerr come out a say after that touch up in the Derby, " that some sides have figured out our game plan" haven’t herd that before from an AFL footballer.

This week is a big test for both our WA sides!

Fact

Thu, 2012-08-23 09:41

The fact that its a little pissant stadium probably doesn't help.

Be good for the members and fans when the new Burswood stadium comes on line. Any more news on that?

Nope

Must rely on public transport or walk. Because that's how fans get to the MCG and it's worked so well for Subi. Lets see how long it takes the Pollies to realize they've F'D up again, than again they'll never admit to it.

No doubt Perth needs it just cant see why the rest of the state will have to pay for it.

I think what he means Paully

Thu, 2012-08-23 16:52

is he cant see why everyones tax goes to build it but only a few use it.

I can understand that.. maybe user pays.

How about the AFL and co. pay for a subi upgrade to 60000 or so.

Bit like that useless train we all had to dig deep for but only a few use it and what do the rest of us get... bloody traffic jams.

Pointless argument anyway

Thu, 2012-08-23 16:58

that applies to pretty much all the infrastructure in Perth .

So should everyone who lives outside the metro area get a refund for all the tax we've paid?

Forget that. Lets get back to hanging shit on the Shockers.

I dont agree at all -

Thu, 2012-08-23 18:19

I assumed that when the comment was made about the rest of the state paying, that he lived in a regional area. Does the same argument then count re the new hospital, and other infrastructure. Why would you waste money at Subi when there are other restraints, parking - not to mention it would probably cost the better part of a new stadium anyway.

bit up in the air about that one!!.. theyre bringing back stutter step, butler and rosa!!.. brennan is gonna be a ripper for yrs to come.... Im thinking its a +step for the lineup.. hey it coulda been Swift coming back in.. Im impressed with Hams.. hes gonna be a ripper.. West Coast is definitley getting some depth to its team.. just think, if it wasnt for LeCras bbombing out, we wouldnt have seen just how good Hill can play.. Im excited about the Wiggles future!!!

Yeah that's what I thought.

Thu, 2012-08-23 20:21

Yeah that's what I thought. Best match-up/line up against the Pies. Hill's got some some bloody good pace and Brennan coming from quality premiership stock. It's a good sign when they are battling for selection. Looking forward to seeing twinkle toes back in action he'll be hungry.

I'm not surprised with the ommision of Hams

Fri, 2012-08-24 05:25

he has been quiet for a while now, mind you i think he'd get a bit more opportunity with JK coming in, roving of him as well.  I am a bit suprised with the Brenan ommision though - I thought he might have kept Butler out of the team. It will be interesting to see how Darling performs given he will be abel to get up the ground a bit more, I would think.

Crowley is injured and a scumbag and wont even rate, Pav is the Freo ablett... his shoulders are wide, but his eyes are unnaturally close together, he'll get to 300 games, but thatll be it for him, and then we'll have to listen to all the crap about the quokkas rebuilding again!! 20th reunion of tryouts coming up!!

if the opposition supporters think he's a scumbag he has obviously done his job well this season! Just like Josh Carr did his job well before Crowls, i just think crowls is a better shut down player than carr ever was.

With the weagles at full strength and depth, collingwood away from home, bad form and missing a few players then there's no chance of losing this one  surely!! Whats the margin going to be ??
