hey dose any1 know if any of the jetty is open? also dose any1 know if you can catch squid off the local beaches as there is nice weed bed there? thanks danno.
danno the jetty is pretty much shut .. only about 100m of it is actually usable and not much weed for squid there .... id be trying canal rocks and quindilup boat ramp for squid ..
gotheaps of squid off the beach there before they come right in - if in doubt don a set of fins and a snorkle and mask and take a look around - theres heaps of medium to small KGs just out and crabs as well - try south of dolphin road and theres big terracotta pipes that ussually have big occies in em - theres also heaps of big cobbler and flatties around as well - ussually at night but can be found during the day - just look closely in the seagrass
the jetty is closed of just past the first platform. but if its not to croweded the platform still has plenty of squid and massive skippy if u u berely up right. and at night some 30-45cms tailor start appearin. if u have a boat try behind the chirstian and youth campsites on that weed there is hundreds of squid out there and the deeper u go the bigger they get
