Barra lures

 Hi all

What lures are the go to for barra.

We are in the final stages of packing for our trip around oz and I'm super keen to land a barramundi so what lures should I pack I have never fished for one before. I have plenty of lures for Mack's and shallow water trout, emperors and the likes. do Barra like a particular action? We are taking a dinghy so will fish land and boat for them.

Cheers

Rod

Barra classics in varying depths and colours and make sure you put a couple of green backed ones in there. Lures around the 90-110 length work well for all size barra.

Barra Classic (Rod Gadden - Aussie made Barra lures). I’ve killed the pig with all different size, types and depths. Supposed to have the loudest rattle. I found super slow trawling with the odd twitch will entice any metery from under his log!

Paddle tail soft plastics.

Reidy's make a good cheap soft plastic that will always pick up a fish. Too be honest once the water cools down the boys suggesting live bait are on the money. You will certainly catch them on lures during the Dry. Plenty of big fish being caught up here lately.
Should of been here yesterday LOL.
