well got ot to the barges today nice weather was hoping to get into one like this but no luck
got to see a submarine crusing around never seen one out there before
had 5 hookups and 5 bustoffs had a nice shark 2.5mtrs come up with my line in it s mouth
was nice and glassy out there had bbq on board and had a great day

that was on the office
that was on the office charter in 06 went 47kg my mate holding it hooked it up but afte 20mins on a alvey in 120mtrs i was told to take over still took me a good 30mins to get it up no chance doing that this year too many sharks

i have seen big sambos up to
i have seen big sambos up to 20 odd kg that had no worms and tasted great, on the other hand i have caught them around the 5kg size and full of worms. cant tell until you cut them up so thats the chance you take

after sutch a long fight this fish was not going to return i m sure in 06 realease weights wernt used or evern thought of and the fact i didnt catch it it was not my choice to keep it , that was the first big sambo i have tasted and it was really nice just like herring even put it in the freezer and was still good but since then have eaten some smaller ones that have tasted really bad its the luck of the draw but i only would keep one around 10kg now

at the end of the day mate you caught it ,its well with in the limit to keep it, if you released it it was probably just going to get eaten by sharks any ways may as well eat iit if you enjoy eating the fish .
