Bait catching methods

Have always had good success with livies in the past although have always found it hard catching them or even finding them. I'm talking about scad etc... What are your methods in extracting these awesome baits? Do you prefer the artificial bait jigs or bait? Would love to know more!

Cheers all.

caught about 40+ 2nite at freo traffic bridge.... just using a simple running sinker rig.. size 1 ball sinker.. swivel, leader 30 -40cm long and a small long shank with a piece of bony herring.. did the trick for me.

Has anyone tried using tiny metals? Just trying to avoid catching bream etc...

I dont know if they'd avoid

I dont know if they'd avoid catching bream, but I have some 5, 3 and 1.5g jigs for skippy.

To find them, sound around til you find them then burley burley burley. I just use the sabiki rigs with tiny specs of bait (mulie skin), not that I use livies much.
