Haven’t been on here much but have to share this one...
My brother Aron ticked off possibly the best landbased capture of the century haha.
103cm Dhufish off the rocks on a Mackbait vibed along the bottom from the south coast rocks. Landed on 50lb gear as well. Absolute fish of a lifetime and the biggest I’ve ever heard of on lure from the rocks and one of 4 I’ve seen a picture or head rumors of at that size from land.
So so happy for him and it couldn’t have been caught by a more deserving guy.

crazy stuff. He even said he was going to try get a dhu on a Mack bait before this trip. We figured working it like a big vibe had to work. We expected to get one eventually maybe a 50-70cm fish but typical Aron out done us all with a monster on his first attempt. They called it for 18kg which I reckon is a safe estimation.
Will be putting together a video of the capture and chucking it up on our YouTube at some point.

Cracker fish, not many people can say they have caught thumper dhuies from shore. My mate caught a beast like that off the rocks down south many years ago. Something to be proud of and sums up why we go fishing.
