spot on allrounder, we are going out tomorrow ourself chasing the kg,just got to look around for the right ground and hope for the best and quite often you find them when you least expect it, i have caught them on flat sandy ground while chasing sand whiting , good luck

Depends on the size you are looking to catch & location
I've got smaller ones on sand flats in between the weed beds by the Sisters and a 50 cm in 6 metres back of GI. Unless you are targeting them exclusively I would berley up at the edge of a weedbed connecting to sand & use your light gear to catch some whitng & herring as well. Just going out and working 15 meteres and deeper will probably be unproductive unless you have a good sounder and know how to read it. If not, tomorrow when the sun is out you'll be able to see the sandy spots between the weed beds and can drift over them casting out into the sandy spots until you locate some fish. Do not fish the weed unless you like catching wrasse! Search the net for some great articles from Ryan Thipthorp and others who fish Perth waters. Good luck mate. Cheers, Ben
