Another limit in the crusher

Nice bag from Mindarie today beautiful conditions early then breezy for the ride home , got the job done again .my deckie had a terrible time watching me get the bag while he struggled all day on undersized dhu and wrasse! He did however wash the boat while i did the filletting/cryovacing so he came good in the end!

Nice mate. We shot out around

Sat, 2018-01-20 16:35

Nice mate. We shot out around 8:30 and got a nice dhubanger and a big blackarse in the 30s along with a few undersized dhus and snapper. No interest in the jigs whatsoever today.

Found the bite to be real finicky today and it took a lot of patience to hook the dhus and we dropped a couple of big boys which I reckon were lip hooked.

Crusher

Sat, 2018-01-20 16:49

I’ve done 137 hours since Nov when I got it and 2 weeks of that I didn’t have it while it was at allboats and the boat show , I think it’s about 12 trips for 12 bag limits on demersals now .

Dhu

Sat, 2018-01-20 16:52

I lost what I think was a 15+ kg dhu when my deckie Ben was tangled with me and cranked his line up with my fish and took the weight off allowing the hook to pull , not happy !

Well done

I was out today. Left Hillarys 6am, bashed through the slop to fish 35ish metres on the north side of rotto for some undersize pinks, when the wind died a bit went and tried in 50m but the current was impossible. Drift was 2 knots and 12 ounce sinker was not enough to hold bottom when achored. Came back in to 40m for undersize baldies and rode the 20knot southerly back to the ramp by 2pm.

In a bit of a slump at the moment but that's fishing!

You did well to stay out that

Sun, 2018-01-21 16:08

You did well to stay out that long, by 12:30 we decided the wind was going beyond enjoyable at 15kn and headed back in for a pint. A tip for young players, don't store your release weight in the dash where you put your new phone especially when it's choppy as it makes for an expensive day out.
