My wife was joint 3-way
My wife was joint 3-way leader of our big winner takes all family comp. She was third on margin so had to try and win an extra tip so went Carlton and the others went Pies. 2 points cost her $1,200! The only silver lining is that they knocked Freo out of the 4!

Managed to listen to the 3rd
Managed to listen to the 3rd quarter and watch the final of the Pies and Blues game and being an Eagles supporter, it was the best game I had seen this season.
Would have been nice to see the Blues get up and lock the dockers into the top 4 but i guess they could have done that themselves if they didnt draw with Richmond a few weeks back.
Going to be a crackerjack final series. I am tipping Sydney V Geelong grandy

BUT i was cheering hard for the dockers on Saturday night. I did also remind a freo supporter during the first quarter to remember what happened last time a Victorian team got a 5 goal head start in a final. Bloody great win and hopefully the collywobbles continue.

What I think is a joke is that the Pies didn't earn a home final the first week but got one. Capacity reasons I know but Marvel would have been a fairer venue. Then they lose and still get to play at home! Having said that I don't want either team to win!

I grew up in Geelong so I've been on them all season and my daughter is a Cats supporter, so I guess they're my second team. I really thought the stage was set for another close win by the Pies so I was pleasantly surprised in the end.
I'm with Andy - Sydney have been the smokey for some time now.

I'll give the Pies their Due Unc. They have been amazing with their ability to find a way to win. I think they probably played better on Saturday too but both sides missed more shots than got so it was a raffle in the end. I think they'll take care of the Dockers this week but who knows? I still don't want either team to win!

It is only trial by media thus far but the AFL have come out on the front foot and obviously seen the report so there must be a flame in amongst that smoke. It does seem strange though that those accused were not contacted or interviewed for the report.
If Dayle Garlett was one of the players then encouraging him to break ties with bad family influences was ultimately vindicated. That doesn't mean however that you broadstroke all Indigenous players with the same brush.
If West Coast commission a report will they be found to have encouraged Rioli to steer clear of certain friend/family influences after he was caught with an ounce at Darwin airport whilst serving a ban for testing positive for cannabis? Would they have a duty of care to do so?

There seems to be too much smoke for there not to be any fire Frosty. There is a line between a player's welfare and outright racism and abuse but I don't think it's a fine one for most of the time. It's a bit like your kids - you have to let them make their own mistakes but you try to stop them making the really big ones that seriously impact their lives.
