abrolhos trip

Well was meant to be heading to the abrolhos this coming weekend now mother nature screwed that one with a cyclone thanks .

My question to those that know the area is how quickly do things tend to return to normal there after a cyclone ie swell and water clarity?

Wind wise it should drop in

Wind wise it should drop in 24 hours but the sea state may still be a bit messy.

There are no rivers flowing out that way so the suspended sediment shouldnt take too long either.

My daughter was there for Easter and the water clarity looked great in most places. As Swompa said, it should settle down pretty quickly after a blow.

They were fishing out of Little Rat Island and got some great dhu's, heaps of baldies, some nice trout, a few spanglies and a cracker wahoo.
