That is bugger all hours. 100 hrs is about equivalent to 10000 kms in a car so about 49000 kms. My Merc 115 4 stroke is at about 480 and runs perfectly and services without incident each time. Ran into a charter operator in the north west who had twin same motors and traded them at 7000 hrs and they had never missed a beat. All modern motors are very reliable IF SERVICED REGULARLY. If it checks out mechanically you should get many more years out of it.

no dramas

We run ours (commercially) to about 2500 hours (yammies) and then look to start replacing them (just incase - still run fine) so if it's looked after, shouldn't be too much of a drama.

Hours arent usually the issue in a second hand motor. Its what you cant see.. Our 2004 4 stroke ran great for 1000+hrs. What killed it was internal corrosion resulting in a head casket going and getting water in oil. Even though it was flushed religiously for the 4 years l owned it, you never know how well it was looked after by the owner before.
