15hp johnson fuel ratio enguiry

hi all just purchased a little boat and im wondering how much to mix the fuel
its a 15hp Johnson model number is J15RECR 97 Johnson
was thinking 50:1

Run premium oil though
I also run 50:1 in a similar motor, but make sure you use good quality oil when using these low ratios. Semi-synthetic or fully synthetic are best.

I second that. Eg; Mercury
I second that. Eg; Mercury Premium Plus 2 stroke oil.
Based on personal experience, cheap oil such as Valvoline will make your motor smoke abit more than premium stuff
A fish in the hand is worth 10 in the water!

Yeh i normally use Valvoline.
