my bait was about 30 mtrs off the rocks when it got nailed and lots of times we got hit as soon as it hit the water , jelly beans were the hot bait(frigate mackeral), we just use to drift the bait out under a bobby cork or balloon

fantastic fish from the stones mate!!! i remember watching a movie called marlin of the rocks... filmed at that very spot. was cool as!!!  seems you may have done it well before that was made though.

a common occurence but at a guess around 5 -10 fish a season prob would'nt be far off the mark

and a couple of gaffs and manhandle them , the tubes is'nt too bad though as the lower ledge is right on water level , carrying it out to the carpark is the killer though .
