Na not me mate was having a look on the net and thaught id put it up as its the biggest one ive ever seen all i know was that i was caught off the gold coast
my dad used to live in qld and he hooked up to a giant cobia about 25-30 yrs ago he said it looked bigger than that underwater but u no what the water does! anyway that is a monster cobia
Mine from a few years ago. The Caves, quobba, Penn 850ss, just over 1 hour to land....stuffed a cast of a ganged mulie which landed 5 ft out from the rocks. Watched the Cobia engulf the mulie as I sorted the mess on my reel...the adrenaline was pumping before I had even loaded up the rod.
Thats the biggest ive seen caught by far! I have though seen some thumpers in broome about the same size get lost at the boat due to there rolling tactics! Great fish.
Thats a cracking fish from the stones Pete!!! Saw a monster cobe under a manta this arvo on the way back in, just didn't have the right gear with me to have a go. ;(

The one in the photo would be 45kg easy i reckon.
