Fishing around Kalbarri

Ok now iv just paid all the coin for accomodation for 7 days in Kalbarri :)
I dont have 4wd only 2wd vt commodore to get around. Can anyone give me some good locations to fish around Kalbarri?
Iv been told to spend most the time fishing at frustrations.
Iv heard good storys of big fish from goats gulch but i dont have 4wd :(
Anyone know of a 4wd fishing tour to cliff locations?
Any help much appreciated

Get hold of Tangles mate he lives there and would be happy to show you some good spots. Frustrations is good but you will loose heaps of rigs and this time of year its likley that the swell is up so it will be unfishable anyway. The river mouth this time of year will be your best bet for all good fish as anything is possible there from 9kg Tailor, Mackrel,Tuna,Mullaway,Snapper and certain time of year Big Mangrove Jacks. The cliffs are mostly fishable without 4WD as long as you dont mind walking and climbing up and down cliffs. Pot alley is an easy place to fish and hold some big fish certain times of the year. There is Fishing tours that will do the cliffs but a waste of money as you will not have to many problems finding fish if you are prepared to look around for yourself. Just be carfull as many people have died on those cliffs, me being one of them. My best advise is to not stick to one spot and try different locations as Ive walked for miles along the cliffs up and down for no fish then fished the rivermouth literaly 200m from my accomidation and pulled in snapper one after another to 9kg for three days straight and Mullaway to 25kg. Guys will tell you to only fish certain spots but fish that are there oneday wont always be there the next so look around and you will find them. Good luck. PS Dean at the tackle shop is very helpfull and no,s his stuff so dont hesitate to pick his brain when you get there.

That info is really helpfull! I will go see Dean once i get there and buy my supplies like bait etc off him for the help :)
I will have alot of time to venture about and i will try all the spots.
Will be carefull on the cliffs. Iv been to steep point many times with my uncles and even they said be carefull on the Kalbarri cliffs so it must be dangerous.

around the river mouth
is a good spot ...some nice tailor and big mulloway of a night time...safest place at night imo...but pleanty of places to go around the cliffs but like tapout said BE BLOODY CAREFUL as even i have nearly come undone retrieving a fish and ive also seen my mate swept off the rocks at pot alley ...he lived but its easy to get sucked out to the ocean so always be wary of whats going on around you....hope you get into some good fish but if you dont have a great time tryin!!!!

Spot is Layer cake or Blair witch. That was some funny shit when we named that spot! Undercut though so a NO GO. Try the river mouth as mentioned before or North of the river.Some nice gutters there for Mulloway. MAXY

Took a m8 to bluff pt the the other arvo and were hooking up to big pinks but cos the swell was rather large! we couldnt land em! walked away wet cold no fish but had a ball hey tpaout!!!! The cliffs are looking really fishy at the mo so plenty of spots to go and the mulla fare round at frussies. me m8 got 3 nice ones the other nite. ill be round hopefully just look 4 a dude on a blak bike. catch ya then .
