I went to paddle down to get into a nice turning position and just hit the lip and got airborne on the way down! lol and boy I was hurting!!! Ohhh yeah are you allowed to fish City Beach?

Yeah, seen people chasing salmon there.

Literally I was like ohh shit shark but then I went under water to have a look and then school of salmon swam pass...That was good timing for the salmon cause I did'nt have my weapon with me.

Good stuff Jangles, your taking me back to my grommit days. Me and the boys used to lid at cities every morning before school, every arvo after and then in summer it was the night surfing. Goood gooood times. :)

Thats really good to hear that you use to lid when your young like me and its so much fun when you have boy's an all hit the beach around Cities. But have you ever ebcountered a heavy day like that Adam? It would be awsome to see some older boys who still board!

Plenty of times Jangles. Night surfing was the best ever for heavy waves, no crew around and sucky barrels. Then everyone caught on and it lost its magic. I still go for a lid every now and then, but fishing is a priority. :)

Fishing is always an ANGLER'S first prioty mate, It's my first prioty too. When ever I go to Cottesloe for a board I usually take a two piece bream rod with me and place it in my bodyboard bag and when the swell is down I usually use small SP'S and catch Herring and Tarwhine off the groyne! Ohh yeah Adam, what type of board do you have? if I may ask.. Hope your still in the good old fashion way of lidding?

Maybe you should take that chance and get a malibu then! Well if you don't wanna get hammered I guess you should'nt take up this sport because I surfed The Wedge, Box, Chicken Run, Yanchep, Cottesloe, City (Fav), Leighton, Burns, Margs, Mandurah etc... But I wanna catch fish and surf at the same time!

I find adrenaline the best thing in life.. But I guess surfing and boarding is totally different things mate. Boarding over 4ft is the best mate especially at The Box out the back of Rotto as I get massive air.
