Nice fish Grego. Did your mate say it tasted any good? I've only ever kept 1 small one and it wasn't too bad, never really bothered with the big ones so I'm interested to hear peoples opinions.
Just as a side note: If you plan to catch and release Sambo's in future, take care with handling them as holding them like that puts a lot of pressure on their internals and they don't release anywhere near as well as the cradle hold, or so I am told.

SORRY dont know about the taste of it, will ask and see how he cooks them . Thanks for the side note i will keep it in mind its the first fish over 2kg i have ever caught.Cant wait to get out there again i will have to pressure my mate to go.
