Great fish, a Salmon Trout in the river is quite common hey Adam? Great battle on the light 2kg gear! Great capture. Did you get anything else on the calm waters around Walpole?

Always get a different variety of fish down there, just depends whats moving into the inlets at what time of year and how you want to fish for them. Oh, and that was caught on my purple metro outfit too Jangles. :)

Herring
Taste pretty similar to herring, delicious when fresh out of the water. Also make great bait for deep sea.

Smoked
Best of all freshly hot smoked.
Yummeeeeee..... my mouth is watering so I'd better go and have a fillet. Took a quick visit south last weekend and while they're now in the fridge they still go very well when washed down with a beer of three.
